SUMMARY:Canadian Mathematics Education Study Group Conference
DESCRIPTION:CMESG is not a typical academic conference\, for it is not organized around presentations and audiences. Instead\, it is a conference based on conferring\, bringing mathematicians and mathematics educators into conversation on topics of importance to the CMES community. Its main feature is the working group. Each working group will meet for three full mornings to interact around a particular topic. There are two plenary speaker sessions which will each address the whole conference. Two other types of sessions provide more traditional forms of presentation: invited topic sessions and the new PhD sessions. There is also a gallery walk intended to provide a forum for members to contribute to our meeting and in doing so enhance our awareness of each other’s work. Ad hoc session time is available for members of the community to discuss ideas emerging from the conference sessions. See http://www.cmesg.org/ for more information.
