SUMMARY:Science Atlantic Math/Stats/CS Conference
DESCRIPTION:The annual Science Atlantic Math/Stats/CS conference will take place at UNB Fredericton\, Fri Oct 13 – Sun Oct 15.  The three-day event is comprised of a two-day conference aimed primarily (but by no means exclusively) at undergraduate students\, followed by an AARMS session: a one-day specialized research workshop. The conference features three keynote addresses by invited speakers\, with recognized expertise in one of the three disciplines (Math\, Stats\, CS)\, a host of short undergraduate research talks\, a banquet\, opportunities for graduate students\, faculty\, and undergraduates\, to network\, and information on graduate studies and NSERC funding.  Undergraduate participants have the chance to write either a programming competition or a mathematics competition.  The Sunday AARMS session provides an opportunity for researchers in a specialized topic to come together; this year’s session is titled Statistical Learning in Medicine. \n
