SUMMARY:AARMS Summer School 2018: Data Analytics
DESCRIPTION:The summer school is intended for graduate students and promising undergraduate students from all parts of the world. Each participant is expected to register for at least two of the four courses. Each course consists of three hours lecture sessions per day for two weeks. These are graduate courses approved by University of Prince Edward Island and we will facilitate transfer credit to the extent possible.

SUMMARY:Mathematical Foundations of Programming Semantics
DESCRIPTION:The 34th Conference on the Mathematical Foundations of Programming Semantics (MFPS 2018) will take place at Dalhousie University in Halifax\, Canada\, from June 6–9\, 2018. \nMFPS conferences are dedicated to the areas of mathematics\, logic\, and computer science that are related to models of computation in general\, and to semantics of programming languages in particular. This is a forum where researchers in mathematics and computer science can meet and exchange ideas. The participation of researchers in neighbouring areas is strongly encouraged.

SUMMARY:Theory Canada 13
DESCRIPTION:The Theory Canada conference is organized annually immediately ahead of the meeting of the Canadian Association of Physics. This year\, TC13 will be held at St-Francis Xavier University as a satellite to the CAP meeting hosted by Dalhousie University. Once again Theory Canada will bring together professional researchers from across the country to exchange ideas on broad themes in theoretical and mathematical physics: (i) Condensed Matter Theory (ii) Mathematical Physics (iii) Particles and Fields (iv) Quantum Information (v) Relativity\, Gravitation and Cosmology\, (vi) Strings and Quantum Gravity. \nEach session has two invited 30-minute talks and up to five contributed 20-minute talks. All speakers are asked to present at the level where interdisciplinary research is encouraged. Every talk is accessible to all participants as there are no parallel sessions. The expected number of participants is 100.
