AARMS is pleased to announce a modest increase in the awards provided for AARMS Postdoctoral Fellowships. This decision was taken in light of the increasing cost of living and the recent announcement from NSERC of significant increases to their minimum allocations for HQP.
The new funding structure will consist of an award of $30,000 per year from AARMS, along with a requirement for the supervisor(s) to organize matching funding of at least $20,000. This will come into effect for awards offered in the 2024/25 academic year for fellowships to start in September 2025. It does not apply retroactively to awards from previous years.
The next AARMS Postdoctoral Fellowship Award competition will open in autumn 2024.
